- Purpose
- To provide a high level of soccer training and development
- Goal
- 1. To enable Powell River soccer players an opportunity to play at a higher level (Y league, Metro, Summer Games, Provincial Teams, College/University, Nationally
- 2. To provide an environment that will challenge all participants. Any player wishing to play for a provincial team must belong to a DDC.
- Benefits
- Established player development guidelines and the introduction of a monitoring and reporting structure.
- Standardized visiting schedule for player and coaching evaluations.
- Target Group
- U-9 and older ( Consideration given to younger players only after an assessment).
- Content
- Program will follow British Columbia Soccer Association Curriculum.
- Sessions
- 12 Week training session on Monday evenings.

• Drew Ferguson becomes PRYSA Technical Director
Powell River Youth Soccer Association (PRYSA) is very pleased to announce that Drew Ferguson has accepted the role of technical director with the club.
Drew’s area of expertise will be player and coach development and will report to the club’s head coach.
Drew will continue to offer team training sessions, NCCP certified coaching sessions and will be the head instructor at the PRYSA’s District Development Center (DDC).
While Drew has worked with the PRYSA for many years his new appointment will stabilize and improve the area of technical development within our association.
